Gunda trained in womenswear and menswear tailoring at Herbststrasse in Vienna.

She was drawn to clothes that stood out, but her training also gave her an appreciation for quality materials and careful construction. 

That experience gave Gunda a more critical view of the materials used in modern fashion. Nature remains a source of inspiration, while being a mother of three has made her think about the world we’re creating for the next generation.

Gunda Hafner challenges fast fashion and the use of fossil-fuel-based materials, which have consequences for the planet and for the people who wear them.

       

Natural fibres became a starting point. Over time, Gunda built a team of women

who share her commitment to thoughtful materials, skilled making and responsible production. Together, they bring her designs to life with care and attention to construction.

   

Gunda Hafner is made by a team, and that sense of support runs through the brand.

Women move between many roles every day; the clothes we wear should support us through them, without asking us to compromise our style or ambitions.
